The Story

The Moss Project began with a simple belief: the things we surround ourselves with should feel meaningful.

Based in Ontario, we are a creative studio working across art, handcrafts, music, and woodworking. We make bespoke pieces by hand, often beginning with materials that already have a history — salvaged wood, reclaimed objects, and locally sourced materials that might otherwise be overlooked.

We are drawn to the quiet beauty of things that endure. Like moss, our inspiration is natural, understated, and resilient. Moss doesn’t demand attention; it slowly transforms the spaces around it, creating something peaceful and alive. That spirit guides our work.

We believe craftsmanship should be thoughtful, materials should be respected, and beautiful things don't need to be mass-produced. Every piece we create is an opportunity to give materials a new life, celebrate local skill, and make something that feels at home in its surroundings.
